By August 14, 2016Cinema History

Fox picks up Andrew Baldwin’s spec GENESIS. Story details are not revealed, other than that this is a sci-fi thriller plus action.

IN OTHER NEWS… Film adaptations…

Shirley Jackson’s thriller book published in 1962, WE HAVE ALWAYS LIVED IN THE CASTLE is set to become a film. All of us here at SSG are huge fans of the late Shirley Jackson, and WHALITC is arguably her best work. This flick will join other Jackson film ranks, such as THE BIRD’S NEST – remade as the film LIZZIE. As well, THE HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE was adapted for film twice as THE HAUNTING. Not to mention the short story, THE LOTTERY – was made into a couple of TV Movies. Although, anyone who’s read THE LOTTERY and has seen THE HUNGER GAMES will notice more than a resemblance between the two.
